These batteries does not look as sleek and sexy as the Eneloops; they are wrapped in thin metallic plastic, but for sure pack a lot of juice for the money. I had reached the point that I was about to abandon my Pentax K100 because the rechargeable battery life seemed to have diminished to less than ten shots no matter which of my four sets of batteries were installed immediately after being fully charged with my Powerex MH-c401fs charger.

Rather than spending another $500 to upgrade my camera I decided to chance this charger. Absolutely great decision. Being an old, slow learner, it took me awhile to recognize the control and flexibility this charger provided. I read the instruction that I had printed off the internet many times while waiting for the charger to arrive and still failed to recognize that each of the four charging stations was computer controlled and independent of the other three.

I did find the patience to run what I thought were the highest capacity batteries I owned through the "Break In Mode". My patience was severely tested when it took more than two full days to break in the first set of batteries.

Each of the six other sets of AA and AAA batteries I could find lying around were run through the break in mode. One thing I learned quickly was that a good part of my problem all along had been "bad batteries" that were rejected as "HIGH" during the impedance check.

Finally, I ran each set of batteries that I could assemble through the "break in" cycle a second time as most had been lying around unused for several year.

After cycling the Powerex batteries that came with the charger through "Break In" twice, I installed the set in my K100 and have now taken more than 40 pictures. The battery indicator on the camera still indicates a full charge.
