I have had a great experience with Kirkland (Costco store brand) batteries. Always have gotten them for home and office use, and several sizes, 9V, AA, AAA, but not C or D size so cannot comment about those. Best value for the money as alkalines go, and Costco stands behind them. Besides, Costco also has Duracell Brand next to their brand so one can choose either.
But recently I've gotten into AA and AAA rechargeables as they are most cost-effective and earth-friendly (if you recycle them). There are even rechargeables that maintain their shelf life better than regular Ni-Cad or Ni-Mh and these are specially marked.Get more detail about Kirkland Signature AA 1.5V Alkaline Batteries, 48 pack.
