I don't know what the reviewer who said these were AA batteries in a D shell was talking about. These are heavy batteries, just like any regular alkaline D battery. I bought the because I've had D cells leak in some electronics before (Rayovac seems to be the worst) and I'm hoping the "pro" on these means they are more leak resistant. I installed them in a boom box in mid Feb 2010 and will update this review if I ever see them leaking, but so far I haven't had any problem with these and they're actually pretty reasonable on price.Get more detail about DURACELL D12 PROCELL Professional Alkaline Battery.
