I have been using the Eneloops for about a year and love them. The large warehouse store no longer carries them, so I tried these.
I ran an experiment charging 4 of my my newest Eneloops and 4 of the Duracells overnight. I have been measuring the voltage under the load of a battery tester every couple of days for 2 weeks. The Duracells are holding up better over time. They have less voltage drop than the Eneloops.
I think the Duracells may be as good or better as the Eneloops for holding a charge. Since they are more readily available and less expensive than the Eneloops at Amazon this would be my choice.
